Terms of Service

Effective date: June 1, 2026

These terms apply to the Goblintown website, Codex Plugin, ChatGPT App, CLI, local Tank, and related package docs.

Use At Your Own Risk

Goblintown is provided as developer tooling. It can inspect local context, call model providers, create local artifacts, and configure multi-step agent workflows when you ask it to. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

No Professional Advice

Goblintown output is not legal, medical, financial, tax, security, or other professional advice. Verify important results with qualified people or authoritative sources before acting on them.

Your Responsibilities

  • Only run Goblintown on machines, projects, accounts, and data you are allowed to use.
  • Do not submit secrets, personal data, private code, or third-party content unless you have the right to process it.
  • Review commands, tool calls, generated artifacts, and provider outputs before using or publishing them.
  • Choose provider routes and execution modes carefully. Hosted ChatGPT mode uses ChatGPT as the host model and can store hosted DAG/artifact state. Local-provider execution can spend your configured provider tokens or credits.
  • Use the hosted settings panel to review retention, storage status, model profile, and provider-key metadata before relying on hosted state.
  • Use Goblintown lawfully and do not use it to harm systems, evade access controls, or violate third-party rights.

Hosts And Providers

ChatGPT, Codex, model providers, package registries, cloud tunnels, identity providers, hosted storage backends, and optional cloud services are separate services with their own terms and policies. When you use Goblintown through those services, their rules also apply.

Local Data

Goblintown can create local state such as Warrens, settings, run history, and artifacts, and hosted state such as settings, DAG packets, imported context, and recorded host traces. You control that state through the local tools and hosted settings surfaces and are responsible for deleting it when you no longer want it.

Open Source License

Goblintown is distributed under the MIT license unless a file says otherwise. The license governs copying, modification, and distribution of the software. These terms govern use of the website, app surfaces, and project services.

No Warranty

Goblintown is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data loss, provider charges, or business interruption arising from use of Goblintown.

Changes And Contact

These terms may change as Goblintown changes. For questions, issues, or corrections, open an issue at github.com/0xbl33p/goblintown/issues.
